We are so excited to share this Spa Baby Shower with you today! We styled this shoot for DIY Network and created ideas for party decor, delicious recipes for food and desserts, homemade spa treatments and even tips on setting up a smoothie bar! The bright colors and poolside vibe are perfect for a summer baby shower or baby sprinkle. Hosting a spa day is the perfect idea for celebrating the mommy-to-be. Gather a small group of friends and head to a resort spa, or create your own spa at home.
We hosted our Spa Day at The Saguaro in Scottsdale. The gorgeous pool area provided the perfect backdrop for the bright, fresh party setup. Set up robes, towels, a handmade headwrap and flip flops for each guest to put on as they arrive.
Gorgeous flowers are always welcome at parties and celebrations! We used roses in a variety of sizes to create low arrangements in simple white pots to tie in the colors of the shower.
A spa day calls for light, fresh food choices. We had one of our food stylists, Joanna come up with a few fresh recipes to serve at the shower.
Mini fruit tartlettes are so delicious and coordinate with the party beautifully.
Melon-filled citrus bowls are a fresh, healthy snack perfect to enjoy poolside for spa day. Get Citrus Fruit Bowl instructions here
Lemon Bars topped with powdered sugar are a perfect sweet treat to serve. We made these using Molly’s favorite family recipe. Get the Lemon Bar Recipe Here
For a savory addition, make Cucumber and Radish Crostini with an Herb Cheese Spread. Get the Cucumber Crostini Recipe Here
The girls will love sipping Peach Bellinis by the pool, and be sure to offer a mocktail version for the mommy-to-be!
Either visit the resort spa, or create your own spa treatments and have the guests take turns pampering each other. Homemade, natural ingredient masks and scrubs are easy to make and smell amazing. How to Make a Lemon Sugar Scrub and How to Make a Honey Yogurt Mask
After the spa treatments, treat the guests to a smoothie bar where they can combine fruit, juice and ice to create a flavor of their choice.
If you prefer to not setup a complete smoothie bar, you can still make smoothies for the guests. Get the Recipe for Pineapple Banana Coconut Smoothies
Homemade bath salts and nail polish are perfect party favors for a Spa themed shower. Get the Instructions for Homemade Almond Essence Bath Salt
I created a simple set of printable designs to add the perfect finishing touch to the spa shower. Start with the invitation design and then use the labels and signs to decorate at the shower. Download all of the printable designs here
