I am so excited to share the latest party we styled for Pottery Barn Kids! If you have a daughter celebrating a birthday soon, you will love this hands-on Bakeshop Party! I was inspired to create this party theme after seeing a recent catalog page featuring the Pottery Barn Kids Pink Retro Kitchen. I loved the pink and white with a touch of chocolate brown, and knew that it would be a perfect color palette for this sweet theme. The retro style of the kitchen also inspired the designs of the free printable party collection in which I incorporated polka dots and an adorable vintage-style font. We came up with some great ideas for sweets, party decor and activities to make your party special! Check out all of the photos and then visit Pottery Barn Kids for the party plan, tutorials, recipes, and free downloads! We love how it all came together and I hope you do too!

I saw this on PBK and just LOVE it! That cake is fabulous and I love the printables!! I think I will use the cookie dough in the jar idea for Christmas gifts for our neighbors 🙂 Great color pallete!
Thank you, Tina! That’s a great idea…if I have time I will make new printables for the cookie mix for the holidays! Cute! Cute!
Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this color combination, and this party has “Kim” written all over it!
Great job!
xoxo
Thank you so much, Wendy! You are right…this is totally “me”! 🙂
This is every little girls dream come true. Perfection as always. I love it!
Thank you for your sweet words, Donna!
Simple & classy, but still so sweet & fun! Is it wrong to want this look for my next birthday?! Love it all, Kim. Perfection.
Thank you, Kara! So glad you love it! xoxo
Beautiful Kim, Love love love it all
Thank you, darling! How have you been? xoxo
Turned out SO cute Kim. LOVE!
Thanks so much, Lindsay!
Im so glad i opened my computer to write reports (naturally I checked my emails) and when I saw the words ‘baking party’ that was all I needed – what better phrase could there be right – I mean it involves BAKING and a PARTY. So all those reports that need writing can wait a little longer – I’m off to bake. And maybe plan a party! However you spend the rest of your day – I hope it’s a good one xx
Seriously gorgeous! The Pottery Barn Kids Retro Kitchen Collection really added to the entire theme of the party! I ADORE it Kim! Beautiful job!! One of my favorite details was the chocolate and strawberry milk – how perfect for a baking party and the colors were just right! Such a small detail that makes a sweet difference. I have that metal cake stand from PBK and LOVE it! And those darling cupcakes were perfect!!
Hello, I adore this whole party setup – gorgeous! I can’t seem to find the specific ingredients to go in the jar – are you able to post the measurements etc? Thanks!
Hi Renee! You can find the full recipe here: http://www.potterybarnkids.com/design-studio/articles/cookies_in_a_jar.html
Hi! I love all of this!! Can you please tell me what you used behind each banner letter? The pink with dots looks like a cupcake liner but i can’t figure out the white paper…Any info would be very much appreciated. Thank you!!
Kim,
I love pink and brown together. My favorite part would have to be those cute little icing bags and strawberry milk bottles. Too cute!! Dream job styling for PBK
