We love seeing what our customers do with our collections! A perfect example is this fun Halloween Cupcake Party that was put together by Holly of Paisley Petal Events for her daughter and her friends. Holly said the minute she saw this collection, she was so excited because she loved the idea of a Cupcake Party! Such an easy and inexpensive party to put together.
They invited 5 little girls to come over in the afternoon for a little lunch, cupcake decorating and some fun activities. As they walked in the door, they were greeted by our adorable printable welcome sign.
Each place setting consisted of a purple spider web placemat that Holly found at the dollar store, an orange paper plate and their own boxed lunch.
Holly bought simple white gable boxes and dressed them up with scrapbook paper, spider webs (created using a Martha Stewart craft punch), our printable labels with each girls’ name. They also used the gable boxes to take home their cupcake creations.
Inside the box was their little lunch, which included a sandwich, fruit cup, cheese and a tiny can of Halloween orange soda.
The sandwich was made into a pumpkin shape using a pumpkin cookie cutter and was packaged in polka dot bags Holly made out of wrapping paper. The bags were sealed with one of our printable party circles. The fruit cups were made using simple white paper cups she bought from a local baking supply store embellished with another cute circle. She attached the small fork with matching baker’s twine.
After the girls were done eating, it was time to decorate the cupcakes! Holly made both regular size and the mini cupcakes because she thought they would be fun to decorate too. The girls just used their lunch plates to decorate on and they could choose either purple or green frosting to start with.
After the frosting, they added their toppings…all sorts of sprinkles and candy to make them oh so cute!
And look at what the little darlings came up with! Aren’t they fun? After they decorated the cupcakes, the girls colored Halloween pages, decorated paper with foam Halloween stickers and played a witch hat ring toss game. Holly said all of the girls were just so cute and sweet. They really had a great time!
On the small favor table were some additional cupcakes that the girls could take home to share with their family. Jill at Sprinklebelle Cakes made these cupcakes that matched the invitations and party circles. Aren’t they darling?
Holly made a few more cupcakes and added the cupcake toppers and wrappers made out of matching scrapbook paper.
For party favors, Holly bought these little jars at Ikea and filled them with black, orange and white gumballs and tied our printable favor tags with Halloween ribbon.
And then she saw the cute Halloween lip balm at HomeGoods and had to buy it!
Holly said it was such a simple party and anyone could easily put it together for their little ones. She suggests having the kids come in their Halloween costumes as they love to dress up and it’s another chance for them to wear their costumes!
