When it comes to St. Paddy’s Day projects, I’m not really one for shamrocks and beer mugs. Give me gold and rainbows…and I’m good. Keeps it classy and pretty without being too themey (just made up that word, I think!)
I’m a tad obsessed with the rainbow of cupcake wrappers in the TomKat shop, so using those as inspiration, I decided to throw a bit of metallic gold into the mix to create a beautiful display of cupcake toppers that are incredibly easy to make. Here’s the how to:
{1} Use a circle cutter to create an “o” shape. When doing this, be sure to cut the inner circle first then cut the outer circle.
{2} Cut the circle in half
{3} Fold in the right side as shown
{4} Repeat on the left side
{5} Then fold each out again as pictured.
I created a bunch of these banner flags with metallic gold cardstock, then adhered them to gold striped straws and added a tiny rainbow of hearts to coordinate with each cupcake wrapper. I love how these turned out and I seriously love those straws!

Super cute Amber! I LOVE the little toppers and was totally thinking you used your cutting machine! How’d you do the mini hearts? With a punch? And was the circle cutter from the TKS Shop? Adorable. Love them.
