It’s a slumber party! Back in March, we celebrated Kate’s 7th birthday with her first sleepover party! We invited a handful of her besties and sent the boys away for the evening. She picked a light pink and mint (her fave at the moment) color palette and I raided my shop for everything that fit the colors and style. We hosted the party in my office (like we did for her mermaid party) and I created a simple “Sweet Dreams” dessert table filled with treats and snacks.
A few days before the party, Kate and I delivered matching pajamas for each girl at each of their doorsteps! We packaged them in white gable boxes and topped with ribbon and a custom printable name tag. Once the girls arrived we also let them choose an adorable bow clip/headband.
Meredith from Lemon Bliss Bakery created these gorgeous cookies inspired by my printable designs! She is extremely talented….look at that detail!
The french square plastic bottles were perfect filled with pink lemonade and tied with mint green straws and ribbon.
I whipped up a quick cutout letter banner using my Cricut Explore, and attached to white cord with mini clothespins. For a festive touch, I added light pink fringe garland to each side of the banner.
Popcorn is a great snack for a slumber party and these light pink striped popcorn boxes matched the party perfectly.
For the party, my mom made a four layer cake frosted with white fluffy frosting. I displayed the cake on my favorite pink cake stand! Once cut, the inside of the cake revealed layers of pink and mint!
My favorite sweet treats, chocolate covered oreos from Sweeties by Kim were adorable with polka dots and our little guests loved them!
Mini powdered donuts were served in pink scallop boxes and displayed on jadeite cake stands.
I setup my white table/desk for the girls to use for crafting and eating. A white ruffle cake stand filled with cupcakes is a simple and easy centerpiece to create for the table.
Our pink rugby stripe plates and cups, mint stripe napkins and mint polka dot straws were perfect for the table!
One of the activities the girls had fun doing was making fruit loop necklaces!
The girls had SO much fun at the party! (Okay, so did I!) We ordered pizza, had movie time, played a nail polish game, sang happy birthday and opened gifts!
The next morning, we sent the girls home with a few party favor goodies!
We filled polka dot favor boxes with heart sunglasses, cupcake lip gloss, heart stickers, nail polish, sunglass cookies and use a mini clothespin to attach a custom name tag to each!
Happy Birthday to my sweet, darling Kate!

You have OUTDONE yourself my dear Kim. I have been anxiously awaiting this party as I simply adore the colors and I loved every single detail. Those cookies are PERFECTION and I sooooo wish Meredith shipped her gorgeous cookies. I have bugged her enough to ship to California but I know she can’t right now. The pajamas are fabulous and the girlies look like they had such a good time! Miss Kate looks gorgeous too! Once again, this party is simply stunning!!!! xoxoxox
Oh Tina, you are too kind! Kate had such a great time at her party…it was too cute! Yes, Meredith is amazing. Maybe one day she will ship so you can enjoy her talent and her yummy cookies! xoxo

Thank you so much, my dear! xoxo
So sweet! What a pretty party!
Thank you, Ann Marie!
This party is sleepover perfection! You mentioned a nail polish game and I am planning a PJ party in Dec for my daughter and I was wondering what game this may be? Or did you just paint their nails? Great party! X
Hi Julie!
It was really, really cute and the girls loved it. I found the idea online. Gather a bunch of various colors of nail polish. We sat on the floor in a circle then each girl takes a turn picking a color and then spins the nail polish bottle. Whomever it points to, gets one nail painted that color. You continue until all of the girls nails are all painted!
OH WOW! What a fantastic game! Thank you so much for sharing – will DEFINITELY be doing this! xxx
What a beautiful party! love the idea of them wearing matching jammies!
Thank you, Andrea! LOVED seeing the “sparkle” canvas in your daughter’s room!
Love the pink and mint colors! The details are appreciated by all in my household! My daughter loved the pink lemonade and matching desserts!
What a dream party that she and her sweet friends will never forget.
Thanks for sharing! xo
Is that great when your daughter’s love looking at all of the fun party goodness, too? Thank you for your sweet words!
Soooooo adorable Kim! Love all of the sweet details. Those heart sunglass cookies were just darling – as were the other coordinating sugar cookies. And I love that you have your mom bake most of the cakes at the parties for your kids – so special!! Hugs!!
Thank you, my sweet friend! It is sweet that my mom will bake for the parties! She doesn’t think she does a good job, but I make her do it so she can see that she is amazing! We didn’t cut the cake until after dark, but the inside layers (pink and mint) were so cute! 🙂
Oh my! This is the prettiest feature ever!
Thank you so much, Joanna!
Kim, this is an amazing party! Love all the details and the color palette. The girls look cute in their matching pajamas.

Thank you for your sweet words, Brandi!
I saw your cute birthday party for your daughter. I am trying to find ways to have a successful birthday party for my granddaughter who will be 8. Her first “friend” bday party was last year. Her mother went to great extreme to make a very cute “princess” themed party. Only one girl showed up. Any ideas on how to get girls to confirm to a party. My daughter is new at this and parties are so different from when my girls had parties. She doesn’t even want to try another party for fear of her daughter getting her heart broke again. Her birthday is December 18th so Christmas activities are a challenge for participation.
Wow Kim! This party looks beautiful and fun! Congratulations! Your parties are always an inspiration to me. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us!
Oh my Kim, I could look at these pics for hours! Your daughter is growing up so fast…just like my 7 year old princess who will be 8 in November. ..perfect! Thanks for sharing your family’s celebrated events with us.
