Happy Monday! I have such a fun post to share with you all today. I was so thrilled when one of my very favorite brands, Pottery Barn Kids asked me to participate in a Book Nook Challenge. I had so much fun choosing items from Pottery Barn Kids and creating this little, quiet corner for the kids to hang out, relax and enjoy. Keeping both of the kids in mind, I decided on a neutral gray and white color palette. I love this simple color scheme because it allows the books to really stand out in the space.
I fell in love with the Ava Regency Bookcase and knew it would be perfect for housing the kids’ books and creating a focal point for the space. The spacious drawer is perfect for storing crayons, markers and more books!
To provide additional light in the room, especially for nighttime reading, I chose the Payton Lamp Base and topped it with a Harper Shade, which matches the window panels perfectly! Kate loves how easy it is to turn the lamp on and off with the push button on the front.
We have always loved Anywhere Chairs and they provide the perfect, cozy seating for our book nook! The gray Ibiza Mat really pulled the space together. I added a few decorative accessories and wall art and voilà, the reading nook was complete!
My sweet boy…
Even our puppy, Bentlie loves the reading nook!
Guess what? Pottery Barn Kids is giving one of our lucky readers a chance to WIN a $100 gift card to get your reading nook started!
Hurry, ends Sunday, 7/27/14!

Thank you so much, Fara!
Love the space. Even more, love the books you chose to feature in the pictures. You show my nieces book in almost every image. Thank you!
Thank you!
I LOVE how this turned out! Mind sharing the paint color? I’m color challenged and woud not have thought to use gray and white with this paint color. It looks fantastic! Thx!
Hi Dana,
The color is Dunn Edwards Birchwood. We used the same color in our vacation home in Flagstaff. A nice, light, neutral tan. 🙂
