{Kate McRae Update} Kate's Crusade Event

photos by Vicki Lynn Photography

As many of you may know, the McRae’s were given devastating news shortly after Kate’s birthday party….Kate’s cancer has returned. The family has now been thrown back into the day to day fight to beat this terrible disease. They are currently seeking treatment for Kate, and we are all praying for a miracle. For more information on Kate and her battle, please read their beautiful blog that is updated regularly by Holly, Kate’s mom.

In an effort to help the McRaes, some of their family and friends have planned an event called Kate’s Crusade. The event is being held in Gilbert, Arizona this Saturday, March 12. If you are local, and you are looking for a way to help, this is your chance! There will be an amazing Silent Auction at the event filled with so many wonderful items. We are donating a Birthday Party in a Box, which will include items featured at Kate’s recent party we helped with. The box will include Kate’s Ice Cream Shoppe Collection, as well as items from Polka Dot Market, Banner Boutique, Whippy Cake, Decadent Delights, A to Zebra Celebrations, Chic Baby Rose and Pink Taffy Designs. {Thank you fabulous vendors!} If you can’t make the event, but would like to make a donation, you can do so here.

Want to brighten Kate’s day? Download this free printable coloring sheet, color it, and send it to Kate! This is the same coloring sheet that was designed by Style Me Gorgeous specifically for Kate’s 7th birthday party. A simple, yet kind way to let Kate and her family know that she is being thought of.

Also, Kate’s Ice Cream Shoppe printable collection is available in the shop!
100% of the proceeds from this set of Mini Notecards {$5} will go directly to the McRae family! It’s a great and easy way to make a donation to this amazing family. 50% of the proceeds from all additional printable files in this collection will also be given.

As always, thank you for following Kate’s story. The McRaes are praying for a miracle, and they ask that you join them in that prayer.
