Gorgeous Baby Announcements + $500 Minted Giveaway…

Happy Friday, friends! I am so excited to share today’s post with you. Rennai, our beloved photographer recently welcomed a baby boy to her sweet little family. We are so thrilled for her and we loved watching her belly grow over the last nine months. We teamed up with Minted to give Rennai her choice of the most beautiful baby announcements ever! I have always loved receiving Minted cards and announcements in the mail, they’re my favorites around the holidays because of the quality printing, creative designs and the paper—oh the paper! I knew with the birth of my first son I wanted an announcement that fit my style, and complemented my images and beautiful newborn boy. In choosing an announcement I was really impressed by the selection of designs, all gorgeous on their own without overwhelming baby’s portrait. I decided on the Tagged with Love foil-pressed announcement because I loved the modern yet timeless design. The entire foil-pressed line really pairs well with any style of newborn photos, which I appreciate as a mother and photographer of newborns. This particular design has options of teal, hot pink or black accents, and I chose the teal to offset the gray and charcoal in the image. I decided to keep minted’s signature paper, and then added the three photo option to the back. I love that there are so many options for customizing the back, with solid or patterned options, or various photo quantities and text boxes, each with its own layout and design. After I finished up the final touches on the announcement, I chose a white envelope, and adhesive return address labels. I have to say, I really love the wraparound address labels! It’s so unexpected but the perfect touch to finish off the announcement and give recipients a little hint at what’s inside. I also chose to have the recipient addresses printed on the envelopes—a service that is free right now on Minted! It was so easy to upload the addresses, I just copied and pasted them from my address list, uploaded and was done! Not having to address the envelopes was a huge time saver, which I needed with a toddler and newborn at home. Once my order was complete, I received a digital proof the next day and the announcements a few days after that.

I have to say, I was floored by the announcements once I got them! The paper–did I mention the paper? Minted calls itself “a haven for paper connoisseurs,” which puts it mildly. I couldn’t believe how thick and luxurious the paper felt, the cotton texture was amazing, and it was the standard paper option! I’ve ordered from others in the past, and no one even comes close. I was also very impressed, as a photographer, at the quality of the print. All the colors were perfect, exactly as I had intended and exactly like the digital proof I approved. Having images accurately portrayed on a card or announcement is highly important to me because not only do I want my son to look his best, but we (you and I) invest a lot of time and effort to have good photos, and I know Minted respects that investment. I am so happy with how the announcements turned out, they are the perfect way to celebrate this new life and will be a keepsake for us to cherish as he grows.

    I would go all out for my nieces Sweet 16 B-Day Party!!! She would end up feeling like a princess. Money is tight so being able to buy her gifts and just being able to decorate would be awesome for her!!! Especially after all the parties she’s been to for her other friends that’s have had themed and expensive parties…I know she’s a humble person and she doesn’t think she deserves a great party but she does!!!
