CREATE A CORN ON THE COB STATION...Are you ready for the long weekend? We are really excited to share an idea with you today that is perfect for all of your summer barbecues and get-togethers! We are partnering again with the California Milk Advisory Board to share entertaining ideas with you that incorporate Real California dairy. This Corn-on-the-Cob station is super easy to set up and your guests can create their own delicious flavor combinations with the variety topping ideas we’ve come up with. You could easily throw this together this weekend if you are hosting a Memorial Day celebration! It starts with fresh corn on the cob, grilled to perfection. The star of the show? The amazing flavored butters we created! Read on for recipes…

CREATE A CORN ON THE COB STATION...

Topping ideas include a variety of butters (see below for recipes), a few various types of cheese and fresh seasonings.

Create a Corn on the Cob Station

My favorite flavor combination? The garlic herb butter, cliantro and Real California cotija cheese. Add a little bit of salt and it is so delicious.

Here are the recipes for the 3 flavors of butter we created:

Sriracha Lime Butter 

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups unsalted Real California butter, room temperature
  • zest and juice of 1 lime
  • 3/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 heaping tbsp sriracha sauce

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix. Transfer to a piece of parchment paper, roll, seal the ends and refrigerate until ready for use. If preferred, use a melon baller to create balls of butter for serving.

Pesto Butter

Makes 1 1/2 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups unsalted Real California butter, room temperature
  • 2 tbsp pesto

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix. Transfer to a piece of parchment paper, roll, seal the ends and refrigerate until ready for use. If preferred, use a melon baller to create balls of butter for serving.

Garlic Herb Butter

Makes 1 1/2 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups unsalted Real California butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 rosemary sprigs, leaves chopped
  • 3 thyme sprigs, leaves chopped
  • 1/2 cup Italian parsley, chopped

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix. Transfer to a piece of parchment paper, roll, seal the ends and refrigerate until ready for use. If preferred, use a melon baller to create balls of butter for serving.
