Although summer doesn’t actually end until September, and we will be “enjoying” 100 degrees+ here in Arizona for many more weeks, it seems time to start saying goodbye to summer ideas here on the blog. With all of the buzz of Back-to-School, and our Halloween and Holiday collections in the works, I thought I would share these adorable summer ideas! I fell in love with this seating card idea I spotted from Martha Stewart Weddings, and instantly thought Martha’s adorable ice cream cupcakes would make a perfect pair! Heavenly, right? The lounge chair cards could also be used for placecards or food/dessert labels at a summery event!
We had a fabulous summer, although it was quite short with our school schedule here. Family vacations, birthday celebrations and lots of pool volleyball!
A highlight of my summer was attending the NKOTBSB {New Kids on The Block & Backstreet Boys} concert with Laura and getting the opportunity to meet them all backstage! {Thanks Mix 96.9!} If you don’t know already, I was {am} a huge NKOTB fan. Read more here.
I am excited to share the news that we are moving {yes, again!}. Very unexpectedly, we made an offer on a new house, got it, sold ours quickly and we’re moving at the end of the month! We are so excited about the new house, which will offer more space for me to run my business from, but we are sad to leave the neighbors that we have become so close with. The good news is that we are only moving a mile away, so we will still be close and ironically to the neighborhood where my BFF just moved to! Things have been crazy busy but it will be fabulous once we get settled. I can’t wait to start decorating the new house and share some photos with you. Though I do love my pink and orange living room/studio, I’m excited to decorate my new {spacious} office!
Until then, it may be a little quiet around here on the blog!

Your style is amazing!!!! Can you come help decorate my house. WOW – what a great living room. I remember last time you sold your house furnished and re-decorated the new one. Are you doing the same this time? I can’t wait to see the new house style.
Hi Brenda! Thank you for your sweet words! This time, we’re keeping most of our furniture/decorations {whew!}. I don’t think I could start over again. My favorite part of moving is taking what we have and decorating the new space. I will definitely be posting pics!
Love the placecards! So cute!
Congrats on the new home. I can’t wait to see what you have in store for your new space. Stay hydrated as you move. 🙂
Best of luck for a quick and smooth moving! Keep enjoying the rest of the summer.
Oh congratulations!! How exciting…even in the craziness of all that is going on. I hope the move goes smoothly!
Awesome summer for you 🙂 Congrats in all you do!!!!
Good luck with your move! I am moving again in November out to CO. This will be our 2nd move this year so it will be fun but we are hoping to buy a house out there so I can’t wait to decorate it as well.
Congratulations, Kim!! How exciting! I hope the new house has a pool – 100 degree plus!?!? Yikes! Can’t wait to see the new house pics!!
A new house how wonderful. I can’t wait to see it.
Congrats, Kim! Can’t wait to see how you decorate your new home!!
I’m excited for you, but I’d be sad to leave that fabulous pool behind 🙂
Very exciting. Good luck with the move. Just did it myself 2 months ago…quick is good. No time to get overwhelmed. Looking forward to some decorating inspiration.
congrats on the new house! 🙂
Such a beautiful house. Cant wait to see photos of the new house. What is the color on the wall in this room?
How exciting for you! I hope you’ll share your newly decorated spaces with us!
So happy for you Kim!! Can”t wait to see the pics!
Sounds exciting! I also can’t wait to see pictures!
Those placecards are brilliant! All the best for the move too Kim, that’s no small feat. Keep that roomy office in your mind each time you unpack a box…and keep repeating that it’s all worth it! xo
How gorgeous. I can’t wait to see your new office, and the rest of the house for that matter.
Ugh! Moving is the worst, but like you said… once you’re settled I’m sure it will be great. Good luck to you!
