Happy Friday! If you remember my “Links I Love” posts that I couldn’t seem to keep up with, you’ll love our new series “Friday Favorites”. Maddy, our managing editor suggested that I get back on track with featuring my favorite links for the week and sharing updates about what we’re up to here at The TomKat Studio. I’m jumping on it because I love writing these posts and hope you love reading them! Fingers crossed I can keep up and post each week! So, let’s start with a few fabulous favorites that I spotted this week!
Friday Favorites
It took me a little while, but I am definitely onboard with the neon trend going on. I love these diy neon bows on how about orange! Jessica used Astrobright neon paper to create them and put them on kraft wrapped gifts. Neon + kraft = love. She also posted free printable stationery to be printed on the same neon paper. Genius.
Speaking of neon, I’m “digging” these neon dipped pots filled with succulents by hellobee! It is time to start thinking about teacher appreciation gifts…
The cover of the latest issue of Country Living Magazine has me swooning and I think it has you swooning too with all the likes on Facebook when I posted it! The chalkboard, the fonts, the colors, the file cabinet….heavenly! See it here!
Jordan from Oh Happy Day is always posting the best crafty, simple party ideas and this week was no exception. I am in love with this simple idea she posted…. mini balloon placecards. Darling! I think it’s time to order some mini balloons for the shop!
Our friends at Icing Designs, who always post the very best things on Facebook, shared these ice cream peanut butter cups from Bright Eyed Baker. Ummm….need I say more?
These mini chocolate doughnuts caught my eye this week…and I don’t even think I care to make them, I think I would just rather stare at the photos. Seriously stunning styling and photography.
What we’re working on
Just in case you missed our styled shoots for the launch of Vera Bradley Baby, be sure to check out the Tutti Frutti Baby Shower and Lilli Bell Sip & See. You can also visit this post for all of the free downloads and party decor tutorials! I will be sharing more details and photos from these incredible projects here on the blog next week.
I have been on several exciting trips to NYC the past couple weeks for a Vera Bradley media tour so you may have spotted me on one of your local news channels!
Be on the lookout for our Mother’s Day Brunch inspiration shoot for HGTV soon! Thank you to the Anderson family for allowing us to use their beautiful kitchen and to the Banner family for spending the afternoon smiling for us. We are in love with the color scheme and sentimental ideas we came up with for this one!
We finished up two shoots for Halloween last week (can you believe we are working on Halloween already?) and we are heading up to Flagstaff next week to shoot Thanksgiving! We’re looking for a family to model for us, so if you know anyone in that area, let me know!
Yesterday, I posted our Modern Princess Party for Parenting Magazine, which is featured in the current issue! Be sure to pick up a copy and check it out! It is always amazing to see our work published in print!
I received a copy yesterday of the latest issue of BabyTalk (sister publication to Parenting) which includes two features that we worked on! Grab a copy for great ideas for a Gender Reveal Party as well as a food feature that we styled.
Kate’s Rainbow Heart Party turned out great! Everything came together beautifully and the kids had such a fun time. Rennai sent over the photos and I can’t wait to share! Thank you all for following along on my journey to plan her party so quickly! I hope that I make you proud!
The adorable Macaron Trinket Boxes we launched in the shop this week are selling like crazy! I think they will be sold out soon, so if you’ve been eyeing them…don’t wait!
It’s been a very busy month, so I am looking forward to a very relaxing weekend! What are you up to this weekend?
So glad to see this post back Kim!! I just love to get inside your head to see all the latest and greatest….just love the neon dipped pots!! Can’t wait to see the post about sweet Kate’s party. I am sure it was fabulous!! And, I just love both showers you did for Vera Bradley. I of course printed everything out and saved the printables with the hope I can host a baby shower for a friend soon 🙂 Have a wonderful and relaxing weekend!!
Love the flower pots…one of my daughter’s is in a Nature Club and I think these would be really fun for the girls to make. Plus my 3 girls decided to call their playhouse the herb House and have fresh herbs growing in the window boxes and I think the painted flower pots would be a fun activity for them to do in their “Herb House.”
I am glad you brought this post back….I am super busy doing my real job of operating baseball teams with my husband and have limited time to serach the web so I am glad I can check in with you and see the latest and greatest!
