One of our fabulous photographers, Jessica Downey just posted these adorable cotton candy cupcakes and I knew I had to share them with you today for Cupcake Monday! I asked Jessica for some tips on how to create the cotton candy ball toppers and here’s what she said…
It’s definitely a two person job. One person spins the fluff out of the cotton candy machine (onto a long paper cone, included in the kit) and then once it gets to the right size, the other person pulls it off the cone and quickly rolls it into a ball. You need to wear gloves or else the candy starts to crystalize and solidify. It needs to be put onto the lollipop stick right away too, you kind of gently twist them back and forth a little until they go on. All the while, the first person is still spinning it from the machine onto the cone and in only a minute or two they are already ready for you to take it off for the next ball!
Sounds easy enough! These would be perfect for a circus or carnival themed party!
