Hello TomKat Studio friends! It’s Jessica from Pen N’ Paper Flowers and I’m back to share a cute mini gold banner that can be created in a matter of minutes. You can use it to create fun party accents for your next celebration or even to adorn some of your home decor items; think mirrors, canvases, mantles, art prints and more.
Supplies Needed
Flag Paper Punch
Gold Stamp Pad
Round Pencil Eraser (to create gold polka dots)
White Card Stock
Gold Glitter Card Stock
Heart Paper Punch
String or Ribbon (to hang the banner pieces)
Hot Glue Gun (to secure banner flags to ribbon or string)
Instructions
1. Punch the number of banner flags you’ll need using white card stock and gold glittered card stock. The number of flags needed will be based on the area in which you’ll want to display the banner.
2. Use your gold stamp pad and pencil eraser to create polka dots on the flag banner pieces you punched from white card stock. Tip: Place a scrap sheet of paper under your banner pieces while you stamp so you can add a few polka dots to some of the edges of your flags without ruining your work surface.
3. Use your heart punch to create two gold glittered hearts for use on both ends of your mini banner.
4. Hot glue each banner flag along with the gold hearts to the string you’ve chosen to use.
5. Hang using double stick tape or by tying each end of banner string to something secure.
How fun is this display for St. Patrick’s Day? Insert gold foil wrapped chocolate coins into the frosting of cute cupcakes, display one or two on a mini cupcake pedestal filled with shimmer green candy pearls and include your mini gold banner as a backdrop. You’ve got an instant festive celebration without a lot of fuss. I hope you were inspired to use these ideas in your next celebration!
