I recently had the opportunity to partner with Shutterfly to create a party kit that was sent to lifestyle editors all over the country! The purpose was to show the recipients how fun and easy it is to use Shutterfly + TomKat products to create a simple summer celebration! When thinking about a theme I wanted to create, I decided a fun summer party theme was the way to go and what says summer more than flamingos? The kits contained two Shutterfly DIY projects, along with plates, napkins, straws + honeycomb decorations from the TomKat Studio shop!

The first Shutterfly project I created was a acrylic party tray, using a 12×12 Photo Gallery Acrylic Print featuring a darling flamingo watercolor illustration that my friend Kori made! I simply unscrewed the the metal hanging pieces and added black and white striped ribbon to make a quick and easy modern flamingo tray. The best part? It won’t shatter like glass so it’s safe in water play areas and easily wipes clean from any spills!

The acrylic wall art can also be used as-is, as a tray with legs or prop up on your party table to create a focal point!

The second project I designed was a coordinating printable “celebrate” banner that can be used for any number of festive gatherings. With a simple polka dot background and trendy font, download, print and then save for your next celebration! Download the celebrate banner here

We had the banner panels printed by Shutterfly on matte photo paper, then simply use scissors to cut the flag shape, punch top corners with small hole punch and string on ribbon! Add your favorite refreshing drinks and sweet treats like cupcakes and meringues and you have a party!
