Hello 2019! I love the beginning of a new year. Oh wait… it’s February now. Clearly I started drafting this post awhile ago! But that’s okay, I’m still feeling the excitement of a fresh start and the new things happening at TomKat! 2018 was a huge year of change for this business, and I couldn’t be happier with the direction we are heading! For our first post of the year, we are sharing Victoria. This was the biggest and most rewarding project we have completed to date! Every space in this home was given the attention it so badly needed, transforming it from a neglected, dated property into a seriously stunning dream home. We are so excited to finally reveal this incredible project that hit the market in December and is now sold and closed!

This beautiful custom home is located in the exclusive gated Trovita community in Chandler, Arizona. With 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and nearly 6,000 square feet, it’s truly a dream home! Every surface needed updating and it was such a fun project to conceptualize and complete!

The enormous front door was refinished and the ornate stained glass panels were replaced with clear glass. The gorgeous engineered hardwood flooring is featured throughout the entire house, with exception of the bedrooms and basement. We are obsessed with this beautiful flooring… the color, texture and large plank size! (email me for details) Once inside the foyer, you are welcomed by this beautiful formal living room with soaring ceilings and large picture windows overlooking the gorgeous backyard. We love how this house is drenched sunlight giving it a bright and airy feel!

Next to the formal living room, is a spacious formal dining room that we opened up to the kitchen. It’s perfect for entertaining and the black beaded chandelier makes my heart skip a beat. These gorgeous black velvet chairs make a statement in this space.

This massive kitchen is by far one of our most dramatic transformations ever! From dark and outdated, to bright and modern, this dream kitchen includes double islands, white quartz countertops, matte black fixtures and hardware, and a gorgeous black and white marble backsplash. The stunning, modern light fixtures give contrast to the white cabinets and complete the space beautifully. These simple counter stools we used for staging add warmth to the kitchen and we love the combination of wood and metal.

Open to the kitchen is the spacious, light and bright family room. This room opens to the spacious covered patio, and the grassy backyard with a gorgeous pool and spa.

Adjacent to the kitchen, this cozy breakfast nook is the perfect spot for family to gather. We loved giving this space a more modern feel with a gorgeous round table and beautiful wood and woven dining chairs. The stunning tiered, beaded chandelier is one of our favorite light fixtures right now and I have it over my own kitchen table at home, as well.

This spacious master suite is pure heaven! This stunning beaded chandelier adds a touch of boho style to this space.

The huge master bathroom received quite a makeover. Check out this before and after…

These gorgeous wood vanities from Restoration Hardware give the master bathroom an elevated look and add a touch warm wood to the black and white color palette.

The black framed mirror, black light fixture, and matte black faucet contrast beautifully with the quartz countertops and tie in nicely with the black and white patterned floor tile.

The master bathroom is filled with natural light and is so spacious and functional with separate “his” and “hers” vanities and a gorgeous freestanding tub in the center.

Fresh paint, double doors and a simple iron light fixture gives this room a classic look, making it the perfect space for a den or office! We love the soaring ceilings with coffered details.

We are so in love with this laundry room! From the gorgeous concrete herringbone floors, to the white quartz countertops and tons of cabinet space, this room combines function with beauty.

This guest room is spacious with a walk-in closet and attached full bathroom. Visitors will be sure to love staying in this cozy space.

The guest bathroom opens to the guest bedroom, as well as the main hallway. A modern white vanity and fun tile give this space a fresh look!

Towards the back of the home is a hallway with two additional bedrooms, each with their own full bathrooms. We staged one of the bedrooms as a darling girl’s bedroom. You can’t go wrong with black, white and pale pink!

We kept the kids bathrooms youthful with light gray freestanding vanities and adorable black and white hexagon tile. We love how they turned out! 

Next to the girl’s bedroom, we staged the additional bedroom for a boy.

Head downstairs to the massive finished basement with a bar, pool table, large entertaining space and walkout patio area!

Great for entertaining, especially with the large additional patio off the basement.

Take the stairs up to the spacious covered patio, grassy backyard and pool and spa!

After about six months of renovation, this home was complete! While every project has its ups and downs, seeing the final results makes it all worth it. Renovating homes can definitely have its challenges but it so rewarding seeing the transformation and reflect on the process it took to get there. We are so thankful we had the opportunity to update such a beautiful home and we’re happy you came along for the ride with us!
