Did you catch my post last week featuring the most gorgeous white kitchens? Our new house is coming right along and I am so happy to be working with MasterBrand’s Aristokraft Cabinetry line on the kitchen remodel! As I mentioned previously, while we have remodeled a ton of homes, we have never replaced the cabinets so it was definitely a new (and amazing) experience for me. I worked with an incredible MasterBrand designer who had so many brilliant ideas for the new kitchen space. You can see the design above and it’s so cool to see it all coming to life at the house now! Before I show the current state of the kitchen, let me show you the BEFORE photos…
We’re dealing with original cabinets from the early 90’s, an interesting island shaped like a surfboard, oddly shaped ceiling soffit, green granite countertops and the list goes on.
Interesting, right?
We had everything demoed and started working to remove the soffit and raise the ceiling.
Once we had the soffit removed, we wanted to open up the kitchen even more, so we had the front header removed. Removing this 12″ made such a huge difference, I am so glad my husband insisted that we remove it!
Let the drywall repairs begin…
In the meantime, while all of this was happening, I was working to choose cabinetry and design the new layout with Aristokraft. I wanted a classic white shaker style cabinet, so I went with the Winstead style in the 5-piece option.
Once they arrived, install began!
And here is the current state of the kitchen as of yesterday…
I’m so happy with how it is coming together! The cabinetry is gorgeous! I’ll share more details about some fun details we added like the range hood, crown moulding, glass fronts (top row), open shelving, pull-outs and utensil dividers. I can’t wait for it to be complete! Our flooring install started yesterday so we are getting so close!
