TomKat Studio Giveaway: Halloween Party Circles!

Share To:

{my family – pumpkin picking 2008}

Halloween is such a fun holiday!
It became even more fun for me once I had kids!
My focus this week is going to be Halloween ideas,
as I have been collecting my favorite ideas the past few weeks!
Here’s our pumpkins from last year…can you tell which one is mine?

Since my shop is closed right now, while we move this week, I figured it would be fun to giveaway FIVE of my printable Halloween Party Circle files!

You can use my Party Circles to make lots of party items, including cupcake toppers, favor tags, napkin rings, invitations, place cards, candy jar labels & more!

So…COMMENT below and tell me the best Halloween costume you ever made/wore!

Mine would have to be when my blonde roommates & I were all Cleopatras in college! We had a huge party at our townhouse, I think we even charged everyone to get in and made enough to pay our rent that month! 🙂 Fun times, girls!
I’ll have to find a photo and post it!

Be sure to include your EMAIL address, so if you are one of my winners, I can email you the file!

Winner will be picked on Friday, October 9th at 11:00pm. Any entries received after this time will not be included. Winner will be selected using random.org! Good Luck!

Your blog is too cute! I think my favorite halloween costumes was when my roomies from college and I dressed up as Robert Palmer girls… the good old days… this year my 4 year old wants me to be the Joker from batman. hmmmm.

  2. Sarah says:

I LOVE your blog…such cute ideas. Last Halloween was really fun! I wanted to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and somehow convinced my hubby to be a flying monkey 🙂

    strawberrysh@hotmail.com

    Thanks!

  3. Chris @ Celebrations At Home says:

One of my favorite costumes was in college when I pieced together a bad-ass rocker chick outfit. In my fantasy world I can't decide if I want to be a rock star, or a hip hop back up dancer!…hmmmm, decisions, decisions…

  4. Jennifer says:

Love your halloween party circles. My favorite costume was when my friend and I dressed up as good and evil at work a few years ago. We made our outfits completely from scratch.

    powerspower@att.net

  5. AshJ says:

I love reading your blog you have the cutest ideas!! And I really can't wait until your shop reopens. I don't really have any favorite costumes from the past but this year we have been invited to a halloween party and I am going to be a police officer and my husband is going to be a jail bird.

  6. Melissa says:

I LOVE your blog!! My favorite costume was when I was an angel. So original, but it was oh, so cute!!

    melissathomas13@ymail.com

  7. Michelle says:

I love your blog and would LOVE to win these party circles! My favorite costume was back in college when I dressed up as a roll of film and my photography geek husband (boyfriend at the time) was a giant picture. It really was cuter than it sounds!

    Thanks for the giveaway!
    midajo1@yahoo.com

  8. Nikki Cogg says:

I love those circles!! I am having a Halloween party this year and those would be perfect to decorate the favors and glass wear (anything really!). My favorite costume was last year when I dressed up as Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffanys. I wore the huge hat, large sunglasses, black dress, found an exact replica of her gorgeous pearl and crystal necklace, had the long black gloves and obnoxious long cigarette holder with a fake cigarette that actually "smoked". I won the costume contest at the piano bar and it was a super fun night!

Haha I love that you charged your friends to get in to your party and had enough to pay rent- that is defintely something my girlfriends and I would have done in college!!

Thank you for doing this giveaway- I just love all of your cute ideas and products!

  9. Dawn says:

LOVE LOVE LOVE these Circles!!! My Favorite would be a couple years ago my Hubby and I were Hollywood Barbie and Malibu Ken…it took some work!!!

  10. The Traveling Turtle says:

The cutest cupcake you have ever seen! I made it for my daughter – before the PBK magazine decided to offer it, of course.

    Love your site

  11. Becky says:

All time best costume of mine was in college when my roommate and I "borrowed" (a girl we knew worked at Hooters) Hooters tshirts. We went ALL out on the hair and even wore tan shiny hose and white tennis shoes! Awesome!
I love all of your stuff!

  12. Cherie B says:

I would have to say when my husband and I dressed up as old men for a 40th birthday costume party. I was pregnant at the time so I dressed as an old man with a "beer belly" a pair of slippers & my husbands robe, tshirt and flannel pjs. It was fun. Put my hair in a bun with a baseball cap on the tv guide and the tv remote control in my robe pockets. It was fun. He was a flasher! Hope I win!

  13. jenn koehler says:

Love your blog! I actually have a link to your blog on my own blog! koehlerfamily4.blogspot.com
    These circles are too cute!
My favorite Halloween costume would have to be a costume that my husband made with our 8 yr old last year. He was a robot. They had the best time creating this cool, retro robot from PVC piping, cardboard boxes, metallic spray paint! It turned out really cool and my 8 yr old thought he was just "too cool for school!!"

  14. angelena says:

My cutest Halloween costume was when I was about 7 months pregnant I dressed as a bumble bee I even got my nails painted yellow with black stripes.

    angelenapointer@yahoo.com

  15. Jamie D says:

My husband and I had a couples Halloween party to go to years ago, so we dressed up as the Prize Patrol (he was Ed McMahon with the big oversized check and I was the housewife with curlers in my hair, bath robe on, etc. that won the money!) It was a hit!

  16. milk and cookeez says:

Thanks for the giveaway, and best of luck with your move.
My favorite was when i was 14. We didnt have a party or anything to go to, however, my father wanted a homemade candy apple from the older woman across the street. Catch was, she only gave them to kids who were dressed up.
I put together an costume of my dad's plaid robe, his slippers, rollers in my hair, a shower cap, and noxema all over my face. I looked riciculus, but I did get the 2 apples 🙂
That was the last year that Halloween was really fun for me. Now I have fun dressing my own kids up and will buy myself a fun headband or wig to Trick or treat in. tammyb@milkandcookeez.com

  17. Lynn says:

My most memorable costume is when my mom made me an awesome witch costume….I was soooo proud to wear it.

  18. lizlaw875 says:

My favorite costume was kind of politically incorrect. I was an Indian, from India. We bought yards and yards of fabric and my mother died it pink. I more really dark make-up, and the most exciting thing to me was the red nail polish dot on my forehead.
    lizlaw875@att.net

  19. Missty says:

For some reason I never was into dressing up at Halloween. I did it but it was very safe. Minnie Mouse, flapper… I was just shy and embarrassed about it. But for some reason I remember dressing up as a Rams Cheerleader when I was 4 or 5 years old. I was so excited.

  20. Alexis says:

2 years ago I made my daughter a Diner waitress costume, she looked so great and even carried a tray with a faux ice cream sundae, a menu and a order pad. this year she wants to be a chicken…that should be interesting!
Your blog is my favorite, so much inspiration I don't know how you do it all but I am so glad you do (and share:))!

    jacolynmurphy@comcast.net

  21. Michelle says:

My favorite (& easiest!) costume was 6th grade, I went as a birthday present. I found a cardboard box that fit just right, wrapped it up with the cutest wrapping paper & made a bow out of curling ribbon.

    sowonderfulsomarvelous@gmail.com

  22. Amy H. says:

WAY back in the day, B.K. (before kids). I went as a deer and Hubby went as a hunter. It was a costume I made and was a lot of fun wearing…

  23. Abby says:

Your blog is just awesome! So many great great ideas. My favorite Halloween costume was when we dressed my two year old son up as a shark my hubby and I dressed up as his shark victims with blood and bandages! It was a hit!
    altrapp@gmail.com

  26. Cindi says:

My mom always made us our costumes when we were children. She was super creative! I was the Statue of Liberty one year, but my brother takes the cake – she made him a Stay Puff Marshmallow man costume from Ghostbusters!

  27. Veronica says:

Last year I couldn't think of a costume. I was so desperate and at the last minute I realized I had a cute pink and white seersucker dress. I threw a little sweater over it put a big floppy bow in my hair and carried around a crook and a lamb as Little Bo Peep. I got so many compliments even though the costume was thrown together last minute. Thanks for the giveaway! I love your party circles.

  28. Anonymous says:

Love your party circles. The best cosutme I made was definately the impromptu goddess of love…we were in Spain and joined in their costume festivies. We took the bed sheets off of our hotel beds, the fake flowers from the head boards and made a wreath on our heads, stuck my money in my shoes so we could join the parade without our purses, and then ended up losing my money (somehow it fell off) and danced the night away with nothing but a sheet and fake flowers:) (of course I was dressed underneath it all:)) Nina jcrew07@sbcglobal.net

  29. HeidiAdeleSnyder says:

vomsteegh@yahoo.com And my favorite costume was a Raggedy Ann one from around 1st grade.

  30. Brooke says:

SO cute! I don't know if it counts, but last year, my fiance and I dressed our puggle up as a shark. It was a joke between us – she never lost a few of her baby teeth (they had to be pulled). My fiance made her a foam shark fin that connected to her harness. Very cute. She's a dragon this year. In 7th grade, I wore a bubble gum machine costume that my mom made for me, it was absolutely adorable, and my sister was a Hershey kiss.

  31. Angela says:

I am making it this year. It is a cupcake. Full on, life size, cupcake. it is so cute! I got the idea from food Network's magazine.
    angbrimwil@yahoo.com

  32. Sarah says:

halloween is so fun. pictures in pumpkin patches with the kids are the best, always.
my best costume, a princess one my mom made when I was younger. sounds silly but it had amazing detail.
    love your party circles.
    my email is sarahbaum@me.com

  33. Cathy says:

My favorite cotume I've made for my kids was a few years ago. Youngest son was a pile of leaves. Red sweatsuit and hat on which I hot glued leaves all over. Can't tell you the number of burns to my fingers from doing this and how many leaf garlands I cut apart to do this. He carried a small rake with him. So many compliments on it and he loved it. All the burns were worth it.

  34. Lori says:

Love your pumpkin 😉 My favorite costume I made was for my first born (had time to go all out). It was an indian costume made out of real leather, made a huge headdress from scratch the front chest of beads, etc. It looked fabulous and still using it for ourselves or passing it to family. Love your party circles and your blog. Good luck with your move! nielsenlori@gmail.com

  38. Lisa says:

A few years ago, I was Madonna in her Like a Virgin days. It took me quite a few thrift store trips to get it all put together, but it was really something. I keep it in my closet just in case I'm brave enough to wear it again.
    lisa_downey2000@yahoo.com

  39. Ruth says:

This is fun! When I was about 5, I was Boy George (circa 1982)! I wore a plastic top hat and my moms cardigan and TONS of makeup. It is so embarassing that not only did I ASK to be him for Halloween, but that I looked like him!

    mrmauppin@gmail.com

  40. Ashley Brooke says:

Hi Kim! I hope the move is going well 🙂

I think my best costume (or at least the best memory of dressing up for halloween) would be when my friend and I dressed up at the last minute as MEN to go to a party! We had no money or time to get anything together, so we pulled out these awful jumpsuits, cut womens wigs short like a guy, and used the remaining hair as a mustache and bushy eyebrows, haha! I know, I know, it's pretty goofy.. we were in high school ok! Anyway we put on baseball hats and disguised our voices… our friends cracked up at us all night!

    Good times, haha!

Thanks for the chance to win!

    Cute kiddos by the way!!!

  41. Ashley Brooke says:

  43. *margie* - Double the Giggles says:

My hubby and I LOVE Halloween and go to a great party every year at a friend's house. One year, we both went as Hooter's girls with costumes I got on eBay. We stopped at Hooters before and picked up a few buckets of wings to bring to the party with us. My husband went 'as is' as a bearded, 250 lb man, dressed in Hooters attire, which was hysterical and mildly disturbing at the same time!. He won best costume 😉

  44. Jodee Leader says:

What a fun giveaway! Please count me in! My favorite costume was Kamree's pumpkin costume last year, which was from Gymboree!

  45. Susan Crabtree says:

As a kid, my mom made my best friend & I "Cousin It" costumes-they were great! This year I am going as a Spa Queen! White fluffy spa robe & slippers, tiara, loofah septor, sash, glittered toe seperators, beauty mask-you get the picture. Any excuse to wear a comfy robe! 🙂

I love your giveaway… Sooo Cute!!! My favorite Halloween costume would be when I dressed up like cat woman, and back then I loved Leapord print on everything, so this cat suit was just that, and what helps me to keep this particular costume in mind is that when me and my friends were all out that night, every single one of them would constantly pull my cat tail, and that drove me silly!!! 53. Pam says:

I made my daughter a Fashion Police costume a couple of years ago. Navy blue shirt and skirt from Goodwill with iron-on letters on the back of the shirt saying "Fashion Police". I have been following your blog for several months and am constantly impressed by your talent! Styling…Best of luck in your move this week!

Well, one of my more creative costumes that was super-easy to pull off: I wore all blue (even my face and hair) and then msde clouds with paper and cotton that were pinned to me. 60. Kristin says:

One year I went as Miss America. I think I was 12. My mom found an old 50s prom dress at a thift shop and we bought some elbow length white gloves and she made me a sash that said Miss America on it. I even wore a fake crown from the party store. The dress was a little too big, the gloves were too big and the sash kept falling down. And I remember i was freezing but it has been my favorite costume so far and I'm 32 now. 😀

  61. Erin says:

We used to do an "Around the World" party in our neighborhood where we walked to a different house on our street. Each neighbor was to decorate there garage in a "theme" and dress accordingly. My husband and I dressed in disco attire and decorated our garage w/a disco ball, fog machine, 70's music playing. I wore a silver sequin short dress w/white patent leather boots, a feather boa and a long blond wig, while my husband went to the good will and found a 70's looking vest, shirt and pants and added a mustache. He combed his hair forward and really looked like a guy from the 70's. We had such a good time and hopefully we'll be able to do these "around the block" parties again soon…when the kids are a little older!!

  72. Laura says:

Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday! And I love your circles! It was very impressive and she wore it again at her under the sea birthday party!

My favorite Halloween costume I ever wore was one that was made for my best friend and me by her dad. It was a football costume made completely out of foam! Lasy year I made my 10 month old the cutest lobster costume — nothing was prefabricated — I used socks and a sweatshirt, pipe cleaners and felt. My two year old was a roll with sesame seeds, lettuce, mayo and tomato. Together they were a LOBSTER ROLL! Delicious and oh so cute!

I'd love to win the cute circles. You have such fabulous ideas. I've never been much into Halloween costumes but did dress up one time for a party as the Flying Nun.

  91. Kristen T says:

Winning your circles would give me an excuse to throw a Halloween party! A few years ago I dressed up as Paris Hilton–blond wig, stuffed Chihuahua that was wearing a boa, lots of jewelry including a tiara, and lots and lots of self tanner! My husband dressed up in a cow suit and added angel wings and a halo making him a "holy cow"! Good times!

My favourite costume was one I made for my daughter. She dressed as a table (cardboard box with a hole cut out for her head) with tablecloth, paper cups, plates, etc. and wool spaghetti and meatballs and chocolate eyeballs scattered on the table and over her head.
    Good luck with the move.

  93. Monica says:

I wore my best Halloween costume many years ago when I was waiting tables. I was Tonya Harding and another waitress was Nancy Kerrigan. We had the outfits and cardboard ice skates with the blades covered in tin foil. And for those with a sick sense of humor, I carried a fake stick-like object to hit her knees with. Sick, I know!

  94. Not just a Mommy! says:

My husband loves a costume that makes a statement or is "outside the box". Last year, we were Mr. and Mrs. Dog The Bounty Hunter. Being as we are both African-American, and at the time, Dog being accused of being a racist, it was perfect. From his mullet wig and earrings to my blond wig and long acrylics we were quite a pair. I even made badge holders that hung around our necks.

I just recently stumbled across your blog and I am completely smitten. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, all of your creative goodness!! I am sure I'll be a loyal follower. My favorite costume was when my BFF in high school and I dressed up as a pair-of-dice. Her dad actually made them and they were Perfect. He found two huge cardboard boxes the same size, cut out a head and arm holes and then used a coffee can with the bottom cut out to spray paint on perfectly rounded dots. It was so cute. We recieved alot of compliments that year. dsteyaert@hotmail.com

I love your blog and I can't wait to look each day to see what exciting thing you've found 🙂 My favorite costume was actually when I was a child. My mom made me a scarecrow costume from scratch out of burlap, straw, etc. She was a whiz on the sewing machine and with a hot glue gun! LOL! It was very creative and one my friends thought was so neat! 🙂

  97. Cheryl says:

Love your blog! Must best costume was my husband and I dressed up as Geisha girls. He shaved his mustache for it – it was the one and only time I have ever seen him with no mustache and I discovered he has the cutest mole right there hiding under that mustache! Everyone thought he was a much better Geisha girl than I – go figure! Cheryl cruetten1@cox.net

My best Halloween Costume is going to be this year!! I am going to be Lady Gaga — I am going to dress up with her outfit from her album cover and carry around a purple teacup like she did for a little while.

Though I have worn hundreds of ridiculous costumes, well, make that at least 29, since this will be my 30th Halloween…I'd have to say the one I remember the most…and felt most "powerful" in was my SHE-RA, Princess of Power costume when I was 7. I thought I was the coolest thing to hit the streets, and in tight red lycra, I just may have been. I still have a picture of this, I think it was the most memorable Halloween I've ever had…so hoping this year's can top it! Pregnant and 30…hmm…what can I be?

Love your Halloween Circles! My favorite costume was when I dressed up as Raggedy Andy and then dressed my 6 mth old daughter as Raggedy Ann. She was a real trooper and kept the yarn wig on all night!

My first year in college, my roommates and I went to the thrift store to see what we could find. I have always had the blonde bombshell figue and I found a white nightgown w/ matching robe. We cut the edges and stained it w/blood. I went as a zombie bride. It was so much fun and I got lots of compliments. Not to mention it was cheep! OR there is the time a few years ago I took smarty candies and taped them to my pants and went as Smarty Pants. Happy Halloween!

bethcrabtree@yahoo.com My most embarrassing costume was the year my husband and I thought it would be funny to go as Adam and Eve. We made fig leaf costumes from green vinery found at the dollar store. Although the costumes were fairly modest, the prudish party crowd was NOT impressed. I left the party early feeling very much like and Eve…exposed and ashamed for my sin!

Oh it's so hard to decide because Halloween is right up there with Christmas for me. When I was younger the costume that I wore that still sticks out in my memory is Yoda, thats right, I was Yoda. I found a picture and had to frame it and it goes in my hutch every year. Since having my daughter who is 5, last year she was Minnie Mouse and it was to die for. I made the head and it was So cute! Although it was giant and the first time we tried it on she tipped over, but …it was fine come trick-or-treating

In 4th grade, my dad made an elaborate costume. It appeared as if I was riding on my grandma's back. A chicken wire front, fake legs and me wearing half of a sweatsuit and the bottom half of the dress…it was GREAT. I even got in trouble at recess….the teacher on duty thought I was ACTUALLY riding on someone's back!

One year, my husband had returned from a 10 day fishing trip just a few days before Halloween…so I went dressed as a Fishing Widow. Dressed in black from head to toe, had a sash that read "Fishing Widow" and a black veil adorned with fishing lures. LOL He thought it was funny. 🙂

  124. Tori {thoughtfully simple} says:

I've never actually dressed up! I live in Australia where we don't really celebrate Halloween! However, I'd LOVE to change that, I want to put together a halloween party this year! I'd LOVE to be able to use these printables!
