Caitlin's Backyard Movie Party :: New Party Collection + Supplies

Share To:

Hello! It’s Toni here to share a fun party I just threw for my sweet daughter, Caitlin! She has been planning her 13th birthday party ever since the Twins’ 13th Beach Party. She thought about 100 themes, but we finally settled on having a fun outdoor Movie Night! The weather here in Phoenix in March is perfection and we knew this would make a great party. Kim had already designed an adorable Movie Party Collection for a client last year, so it was perfect to use for this party! I enlisted the photography skills of Lacie from Lacie Lane Photography to capture the night!

My cousin, Mandy, makes cookies “just for fun”, but let me tell you, she is so super talented. These cookies were incredible. Not only did they really look like popcorn, but they tasted so so good!

To make this backdrop, I used heavy duty tape to attach two large pieces of foam board together. I then covered it with two yards of fabric and it was a perfect fit for the table!

We put together a table filled with movie treats….popcorn and lots and lots of candy. Each girl was allowed to indulge to her heart’s content!

Our new shop had the perfect party supplies for this occasion! Striped straws, candy cups, plates & napkins, colorful lanterns…all offered in coordinating colors for this Movie Party theme!

We also had cupcakes on hand (of course!)! My girls used coordinating scrapbook paper to make these adorable cupcake wrappers.

Caitlin (third from the left) was so happy with her party. The kids munched on hot dogs, nachos & soft pretzels before the movie started. They hit the concession stand as soon as it went dark. We draped a sheet up against our backyard wall as a movie screen, and we featured the movie “You Again”. The girls (and myself) made ourselves comfortable on the soft grass with lots of pillows and blankets.

The Movie Night Party Collection is now available in our shop!

Along with lots of fun party decorations!
